Farm Walk
@ The Lint Mill, Carnwath
4 July, 11am - 4pm (includes an organic lunch)
This is a FREE event but please sign up to give us an idea of numbers for catering.
The Making of a Meadow
The Lint Mill is a 13-acre certified organic smallholding. Five years ago, Debby and Colin began to regenerate a field into a meadow with the help of *ScotFWAG’s Birds & Bees Project. Hear the story of how they built soil biology and plant and animal diversity and look at the positive impact that this project has had on the ecology of the farm in a remarkably short space of time. We will also have the opportunity to look at non-crop plants (aka weeds!) to ask what they are telling us about the conditions beneath our feet.
